Memorial Day Flags on Courthouse Lawn

Hello Lea County! This Memorial Day, Lea County will be displaying American Flags around the Veteran’s Memorial at the Lea County Historic Courthouse. Flags will be labeled with the names of the service men and women who have passed.

We are giving Lea County residents the opportunity to share the names of those they would like to honor. Email us at leacounty@leacounty.net the name of who you would like to honor (include the branch of service if you know it). They did not have to be a resident of Lea County in order for your to honor them, nor did they have to pass during war time or a conflict. This is for any service men and women that served and are no longer with us. The deadline to submit the names is Monday, May 22, 2023.
