Friday: 8am - 11am

- $6.00 fee on all transactions
- $10.00 fee for Level I & II VIN Inspections
- Level III inspections or not available at this location

TESTING
All testing ends an hour before closing
Written Tests
- Written Tests may be taken any day of the week
- The Testing Fee is $6.00 per test
- Test may be taken twice in a week
- Upon a third failure, you must wait 6 months to retest from the first test date
- Test is valid for 5 years
- Testing ends an hour before closing
- Driving Tests are by walk-in on Mondays and Wednesdays
- Testing ends an hour before closing.
- You will need to bring a form of identification, current registration and insurance for the vehicle you will use for the test.
- Driving Test Fee is $10.00
- Only CDL renewals and CDL written testing are offered.
- CDL licenses can be obtained in larger MVD offices in the surrounding areas. (CDL driving tests are offered at the New Mexico Junior College by appointment.)
OHV (Off-Highway Vehicle)
The City of Jal has adopted an Ordinance No. 2021-005 authorizing the use of recreational off-highway vehicles (OHVs).
If you intend to operate an ATV or ROV on a paved road, it is your responsibility to inquire with the local authority
where you plan to ride and verify use is legal and allowed.
