Small town, big heart!
Providing emergency services designed to protect lives and property of the community from adverse effects of fire, sudden medical emergencies or exposure to dangerous conditions created either by man or nature through quality education and training with support from our city leaders.

VISION STATEMENT:
“To provide the most efficient service for our community, we will act and perform in a safe, courteous and professional manner.  As members of the fire and medical service, we have chosen to protect the lives and property of the citizens of our community.  Members have chosen to be part of a team that takes pride in representing the Jal Fire/Rescue Department.  We will strive to create a strong bond with the community by involving them in fire education, prevention and protection.”

We do all we can to ensure the best possible service to our internal and external customers/communities through smart, well trained, humble, dedicated, competent, hardworking, safe member.  We are active participants in the communities where we live and work.

CITY OF JAL FIRE DEPARTMENT 
The Jal Fire/Rescue Department operates two main stations with an ISO rating of 6.  Staffed with 20 members: Fire Chief, two Battalion Chief with two Captains over each station.  One training officer over Fire Prevention, Training.  Enhanced 911 Communication Center (LCCA) is located in Hobbs, then dispatched to Jal Police Department.  Jal Fire/ Rescue operates a 24 hours Communications center that takes emergency calls and dispatches fire and EMS units to those calls.

The Fire Departments operates out of two main stations and a fleet of 11, including three engines, one water tinder, rescue unit, quick attacks, IC units and ambulance. 

Each fire stations and emergency response units are strategically located throughout the city to provide the best response time possible.
